Health and safety is central to the way we plan, manage and deliver our work. We recognise our duty to protect our employees, subcontractors, clients, visitors, neighbouring occupiers, members of the public and anyone else who may be affected by our construction activities.

Our Commitment

City Vision Construction Ltd works to comply with all applicable UK health and safety legislation, construction regulations and recognised industry standards. This includes, where applicable, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and relevant guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

Construction Design and Management Compliance

For construction projects covered by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, City Vision Construction Ltd works to ensure that health, safety and welfare matters are considered from the planning stage through to completion.

Where we act as contractor or principal contractor, we aim to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate our work in a responsible and compliant manner. This includes ensuring that suitable arrangements are in place before work begins, that relevant site-specific risks are assessed, and that workers receive appropriate information, instruction and supervision.

Where required, we support the preparation and implementation of construction phase plans, risk assessments, method statements and other relevant health and safety documentation.

Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work

City Vision Construction Ltd understands that construction work can involve significant risks, including work at height, excavation, demolition, lifting operations, plant movement, manual handling, electricity, hazardous substances, dust, noise and site traffic.

We seek to manage these risks by identifying hazards, assessing the level of risk, and applying suitable control measures. Where risks cannot be eliminated, we aim to reduce them so far as is reasonably practicable through safe systems of work, competent supervision, appropriate equipment and clear communication.

Site Safety and Worker Responsibilities

All workers, subcontractors and site visitors are expected to follow site rules, use appropriate personal protective equipment, report hazards, and co-operate with health and safety arrangements.

City Vision Construction Ltd expects all persons working on or visiting our sites to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and for the health and safety of others who may be affected by their actions.

Public Safety

We recognise the importance of protecting neighbours, visitors, pedestrians and members of the public near our sites. Where appropriate, we use site boundaries, signage, controlled access, safe storage arrangements and site management procedures to reduce risk and prevent unauthorised access.

Insurance and Professional Responsibility

City Vision Construction Ltd approaches every client property with care and diligence. The company maintains insurance arrangements intended to protect clients, workers and project outcomes, including cover for employer’s liability, public and products liability, contractors all risks work and plant, as stated in the company profile.
